Description
Theories abound as to where he had been and why he chose not to emerge sooner – and why his sister Edwina identified someone else’s body as his. Edwina feels stymied by the social and entrepreneurial limitations placed on women and is hell-bent on obtaining independence and power in her own right. Jack Seager’s scheming intensifies in the lead-up to the State by-election. As is his wont, Seager bribes the right people in the right places to ensure the odds are leaning his way. Meanwhile Lottie struggles with her own setbacks and then finds herself being dragged back into the yoke of Castlereagh Coaches.
