Description
Portia Manning (of Portia Faces Life fame) discovers that a brilliant scientist, on the verge of a finding a cure for a dreaded disease, may, in the past, have murdered a woman.Portia endeavours to seek out proof of the scientist’s guilt or innocence. But standing in her way is the daughter of the missing woman, and a tycoon whose wife has contracted the dreaded disease and who is hoping for a miracle cure.
Before Portia can act on the result of her investigation, a tragedy occurs which resolves the scientist’s fate.
