Long before we’d all heard the term ‘glass ceiling’, Grace Gibson broke through the barriers to become a very successful businesswoman.

During war-time Australia, a just-married American woman went against all tradition and advice to set up her own radio drama production business in Sydney.

The men laughed at her – well, all except the silent angel who loaned her the money to fund her initial set-up costs.  The rest of Grace’s story is a great drama in itself.  You can read her story in Yes, Miss Gibson.

Another great story of surviving against the odds is Give Me No Pity.  Jane Worthington has her world come crashing in one particularly bad Black Friday.  Her indomitable spirit won’t let her give in, so she struggles on and, eventually the light at the end of the tunnel does get brighter.  Definitely worth a listen!
