If they are to be believed by Jennifer, love is an emotional marathon in which the race is not always won by the swiftest.

For fans of Robyn Moore here are some things you may not know about Robyn!

Robyn was born in Hobart Tasmania in 1950, however as her Dad was a Stockman, Shearer and Shearers’ Chef, she grew up on isolated Sheep and Cattle Stations. She LOVED listening to the serials on the “wireless” and when little, all her toys had voices as she tried to teach them…she also turned an apple box into a switchboard and tried to talk to the world. No wonder she became a Teacher, Voice-Over Artist and speaks around the world.

At 17 Robyn sang in her first band (called “1812”) in Hobart. This soul band (with 6 part harmony) came second in the National Finals of Hoadleys “Battle of the Sounds” (Vocal Section) in 1969. “The Affair” with Kerrie Biddell won! “1812” moved to Sydney in 1970…the cast of “Hair” and the Vietnam R&R service-people loved them. Robyn used to be HOT!

After 5 years teaching/singing and VOs in Hobart , Robyn moved to Sydney in 1976 with her (Band Manager) Husband Hal. Her last Band Residency was at the famous “Bourbon and Beefsteak Bar” in Kings Cross…where she sang for 10 years until 1992. It was a very colourful place and one night a “Promotor” told Robyn he could “take her to the top”. What was his real job? He was a Crane-Driver!

A VO Artist for 47 years, Robyn’s had the pleasure of working with Keith Scott for 43 years, pairing up together in Australia’s longest running Radio Show “HOW GREEN WAS MY CACTUS” for 33 years! Robyn loves creating all the female voices. Her favourites are Julia Buzzard, Pauline Hatful, Judge Cranky and Queen Hayseed the Grouse! (When Hazel Hawke heard the show she said “It’s close enough to be uncomfortable!”)

In 1983, the “Father of Australian Animation” Yoram Gross, asked Robyn to create the voice of a rabbit in his Movie “Dot and the Bunny”…he then invited her to be Dot and all the females in the subsequent 6 Dot Movies with Keith Scott. In 1992, Yoram bought the rights to “Blinky Bill” and asked Robyn to create his voice. This mischievous, loveable koala is iconic and has changed Robyn’s life. Most Australians 36 years or younger have a very special connection to “Blinky”. Robyn has made Blinky phone calls to children for 26 years.

Robyn has been on Screen in various mediums. She was a Gypsy in “Kingswood Country”, a presenter on Morning TV with Bert Newton and she appeared in the movie “Race the Sun” with Halle Berry and James Belushi. The cast members said the movie was an STV Movie. Robyn was impressed until she learned STV meant “Straight To Video”.

VO people are always anonymous and behind the scenes…Robyn once Ad-libbed a 30 second endorsement for a brand of stretch jeans. They sold $3.5 million worth of jeans in 5 days. Robyn was paid $60. Robyn sang the iconic “Spray ‘n Wipe” Jingle…(no it’s not Paula Duncan’s voice) and she did every demo for Julie Anthony when she was the face of St George Bank. Funnily enough, Robyn has been the Voice on St George Phone Banking for 20 years. An older man rang the service 70 times in a week. Asked if he was having trouble with the IT…he said he was in love with her. (He thought Robyn was Julie Anthony!)

Robyn’s always been involved with Charities as a Volunteer and has been a Wish-Granting Volunteer and National Patron for Make-A-Wish Australia for 26 years. She helps grant Wishes for children with “Life-Threatening Medical Conditions”. These Wishes create remarkable results in childrens’ response to their treatment. Robyn spoke to 1000 MAWish Delegates in LA and was recently named the Make-A-Wish International Volunteer of the year.

For 25 years Robyn has been one of Australia’s most in-demand Speakers. She speaks to people in every sector and her “Tailored” presentations focus on “The Power of the Word”. This is the perfect vocation to express her love of Teaching, VOs and Entertainment. Robyn is Managed by Leading Voice Speaker Management. Her Husband Hal, was her Manager but says after 47 years of marriage…she is “unmanageable!”

10. Their 2 sons have been brought up with a love of the entertainment Business. Younger son Daniel is an Award-Winning Architect and VO Artist in Melbourne…and older son Toby Leonard Moore is a successful VO Artist and Actor in NYC staring in Netflix “DareDevil” and currently in the HIT show “Billions” on STAN. Toby’s radio debut at 3 was accidental, when he fell off a Chair during the LIVE recording of “The Samuel Pepys Show”.

Judith Farrow arrives home early from church one Sunday morning and finds her husband in bed with her 15 year old sister Belinda, who is spending the weekend with them. Judith walks out. The next day she consults a solicitor about a divorce. Later the same day she returns home to collect some of her belongings and is horrified to discover the naked bodies of her husband and sister on the bed where she last saw them – both stabbed to death.

Judith is duly charged with having murdered them. Her defence counsel urges her to plead ‘temporary insanity’, but she refuses. Mainly due to the fact that she insists on telling the truth, she is convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for life.

In prison, she is subjected to the most unspeakable indignities. Gradually she hardens. After three years having learnt to hold her own with the dregs of humanity, she is visited by Edmund Paradise, a top notch lawyer who tells her he has been retained by newspaper magnate Rothwell Merrington to look into the case, with a view to launching an appeal against Judith’s conviction. Paradise makes it clear to Judith at the outset that he believes she is guilty; but he tells her if she acts in accordance with his instructions, he will get her off. She agrees.

Paradise then proceeds to trump up a case for her – based on lies, ‘bought’ witnesses and bribed officials. He proves as good as his word. The appeal is upheld, and Judith is released. Determined to prove to Paradise, with whom she has fallen in love, that she is, in fact, innocent, she sets about investigating the murders she was unjustly convicted of, prepared to go to any lengths or sink to any level to get to the truth.

In the belief that the newspaper czar Merrington, who put up the money for the appeal, knows the identity of the real murderer, she becomes involved with him – and is ultminately moved to the conclusion that the murders were committed by Merrington’s son. Subsequently – events show that she is mistaken – and, in a horrifying denouncement, she stumbles on the truth that she has sought for so long.

Medical student Jeff Chambers meets and falls in love with Cynthia Hammond. He asks her to marry him, but she persuades him to wait until after he graduates. Late one night, Jeff is at home when Cynthia appears on the doorstep bleeding from a bullet wound. She tells Jeff that her brother, Scott, shot her accidentally. After dressing the wound, he goes to her home. There he is greeted by police who state Scott has been arrested for armed robbery and murder.

Cynthia admits to Jeff she was involved in the robbery and threatens to implicate Jeff if he calls the police. Soon after, the police arrive and place the pair of them under arrest. Cynthia believes Jeff has betrayed her and does everything in her power to shift the blame to him. The charges against Jeff are dropped and he is called to give evidence for the State.

During the period preceding the trial, Jeff meets Sue Jordan. On the rebound, he becomes involved with her and, following his graduation they are married. At the wedding a telegram arrives – from Cynthia, ostensibly to wish him well, but clearly intimating that he has not heard the last of her.

Jeff and Sue move to another State, where he sets up in practice. One day some time later, out of the blue, Cynthia walks into his Surgery and states she intends to have her revenge. She will destroy him, but the process will be slow, because first she will destroy each member of the family.

Cynthia uses the law to serve her own ends. She contrives to have Jeff barred from practising medicine, reduces Sue to an alcoholic wreck and terrorises their children. It is only when she stands poised to make the final kill – that Cynthia is ensnared in her own trap.

Bart Barnett ran away from home at 15. Nothing is heard of him until after his father died, when his mother learned Bart had been on a plane with disappeared over the Pacific Ocean. The elder Barnett left his entire estate to his son due to his wife’s frivolous ways. Before anything can happen, it has to be proved that Bart is legally dead. And so a man announcing he is Bart Barnett arrives … but he is not welcomed by his cousin Greg Mallory, who would have inherited everything if Bart had not appeared.

Since her husband’s death, Ruth has been compelled to live on an allowance. Ruth knows that if Greg Mallory inherits the estae he’ll sell and she’ll be forced to find somewhere else to live.

After the arrival of the man who calls himself Bart Barnett, Greg Mallory does all he can to prove the man is an imposter. Bart’s mother, Ruth, claims he is not. Bart’s claim is investigated even to the extent of having a court case concerning it. For a time it looks as though Bart might be delcared an imposter but when Anita and Timothy arrive, Bart introduces them as his wife and son. Timothy’s resemblance to the real Bart as a child and to his grandfather is so marked that it is finally accepted that his man is Bart Barnett.

Greg Mallory is still not satisfied. He proposes to Jane Eaton and at the same time, seizes an opportunity to get Jane a position taking care of Ruth, who has had an operation, and helping with Timothy. He persuades Jane to take the job in order to spy on Bart and Anita while he travels to the Pacific Islands to trace this man’s history.
